Abstract

The Scientific literacy skills among elementary school students remain challenging, particularly in understanding abstract concepts in Natural Sciences (IPA). At SDIT Al-Furqan Palangka Raya, the lack of interactive learning media has been one of the obstacles to enhancing students' interest and comprehension. This Community Service Program aims to assist teachers in improving students' scientific literacy with Canva-based digital books by applying the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. The assistance activities were carried out through several stages, including asset identification at the school, development of digital books, creation of interactive content, and implementation and evaluation of the teaching materials together with teachers and fourth-grade students as the main partners. Evaluation results showed an improvement in students' scientific literacy, with an average N-Gain score of 0.90 (high category), along with an increase in active student participation during learning activities. Moreover, teachers reported benefits in delivering material in a more engaging and effective manner. This community service activity has contributed positively to building a technology-based learning ecosystem at the school and has the potential to be replicated in other educational institutions.
