Abstract

Information technology has become an important part in helping people's daily work, especially in the field of education. We can use information technology to make the learning process faster and more enjoyable. One way is by utilizing visual media or learning videos. The purpose of this research is to see to what extent the application of learning videos can be used as a learning medium in English subjects for students at SMPN 5 Gerung. This research adopts a descriptive research method, with data collection methods using surveys in the form of questionnaires and documentation. The results of this research show that the results of applying video as a learning medium in the classroom can increase students' interest in learning. This research also shows that students have positive perceptions about the use of videos as an English learning method in the classroom
